Johanna Lucas is an accomplished leader in the field of Talent Acquisition, having led teams in both the information technology and biotechnology markets. Currently, she is the Executive Director, Talent Acquisition for BioMarin Pharmaceutical, a global biotech company with 7 commercialized products and  ~3200 employees that focus on developing medicines for rare pediatric disorders. In this role she is responsible for developing the strategies and leading the people, systems, and programs to engage and hire the exceptional people who will share BioMarin’s commitment to making a big impact on small patient populations.

Before joining BioMarin Johanna was the Head of R&D Staffing at Genentech.

Johanna has a B.A. in Psychology from George Mason University and is Co-chair of the Ceres Community Project.
