John Curran is the Head of Talent Acquisition at Invitae, a company focused on bringing genetic information into mainstream medicine for millions of patients. John has over 25 year’s experience in Talent acquisition, with the last 8 years in life sciences. John is passionate about influencing at the executive level, developing high performing teams, and building infrastructure to attract high quality talent. He thrives on helping companies move from a start-up mentality to hiring at scale and delivering a more impactful hiring experience. As a life sciences TA leader, he spent 5 years at Genomic Health rebuilding their talent infrastructure, then was Head of TA at Cepheid (a Danaher company) finding talent for the COVID-19 test for millions of patients. Current priorities at Invitae include enabling internal mobility, embedding DEI in the hiring culture, employer branding and delivering talent for future talent needs.
